At school with Bonga:
Education, sport and environment
With the "A scuola con Bonga" project, Bonga Surf School brings surfing to schools as an educational, sporting, and environmental experience. The initiative was created to introduce young people to outdoor sports, while also fostering personal growth, social interaction, and respect for the sea and the natural environment.
The project and its educational objectives

The project is based on the idea that practicing outdoor sports, such as surfing, can support young people's motor, social, and psychological development. Through direct contact with the sea, students learn not only to understand themselves and their abilities, but also to become active participants in protecting and safeguarding the environment.
The initiative aims to:
● promote the psycho-physical development of young people and knowledge of the local area, in particular of the marine-coastal systems;
● strengthen social, civic and transversal skills, in line with the European key competences for lifelong learning;
● promote collaboration, awareness and environmental responsibility through surfing and teamwork.
An educational and inclusive experience
"A scuola con Bonga" offers an experiential approach, where surfing becomes a means to learn fundamental values such as respect, trust, cooperation, and environmental protection. Each activity is designed to enhance each child's potential and create a genuine connection between sport, education, and nature.

Where the activity takes place

The project is taking place in the bay of Porto Ferro, along the northwestern coast of Sardinia: a unique natural environment that becomes a learning classroom, a space for exploration, and a meeting point between the sea, culture, and sustainability.
