During this period, we’ll wait for the best sea conditions to enjoy two intense days of surfing, sharing, and fun together in the bay of Porto Ferro. Girl Surf Power is much more than a surf competition: it is an event that celebrates the strength of connections, the freedom of self-expression, and a shared passion for the sea.
Founded in 2017 and organized by Bonga Surf School, Girl Surf Power returns in 2026 to the stunning bay of Porto Ferro, one of Sardinia’s most iconic surf spots.
Over the years, it has become a landmark event for women’s surfing in Italy, welcoming surfers of all ages and levels in an inclusive, authentic setting deeply connected to nature.
The 2026 edition evolves into a true collective experience: two full days dedicated to surfing, art, wellbeing, sustainability, and sharing. Each edition includes:

What is Waiting Period?
The Waiting Period is the timeframe during which we wait for the perfect swell, in order to offer participants the best possible conditions.
The official event date will be announced a few days in advance, as soon as the forecast confirms ideal waves and weather conditions.
Surfing lives in harmony with nature, and Girl Surf Power was born from this very philosophy: respecting the sea and letting ourselves be guided by its rhythm. That’s why we choose to wait for:

What’s New in 2026
More surf, more sharing, more experiences.
The 9th edition of Girl Surf Power brings many new features designed to make the event even more engaging, inclusive, and connected to the local area. For the first time, GSP will take place over two full days of activities, creating even more opportunities for surfers, artists, associations, and sea lovers to come together. Among the new features of the 2026 edition:
🏄♀️ Vintage Expression Session
A special session dedicated to old-school surfing, inspired by the style and atmosphere of 1960s and 1970s surf culture, with retro boards and themed outfits.
🌿 Surf Therapy & Wellbeing
The sea as a space for wellbeing and connection, promoting surfing as a positive and accessible experience.
🎨 Art and Sustainability
The event continues to promote respect for the environment through activities dedicated to protecting the sea and the beach.
🛍️ Creative and Solidarity Market
A space dedicated to craftsmanship, vintage, illustration, creativity, and independent projects.
🫂 Community and Inclusion
This year once again, the program will involve local associations and organizations that share the vision of an open and inclusive sport. Because Girl Surf Power is a community that grows every year thanks to the energy of everyone who chooses to take part.

Girl Surf Power takes place in the enchanting bay of Porto Ferro, on the north-western coast of Sardinia.
Surrounded by dunes, Mediterranean scrub, and spectacular sunsets, Porto Ferro is one of the most beloved surf spots on the island.
Thanks to its exposure to the mistral winds, the bay offers consistent waves suitable for different experience levels, making it the ideal location to host Girl Surf Power.

How to Partecipate?
Join the Girl Surf Power community.
Taking part in Girl Surf Power means experiencing two days of waves, friendships, smiles, and sharing.
The event is open to surfers of all ages and levels: you don’t need to be a professional — what matters is the desire to challenge yourself and enjoy the experience together.
Steps to register:
1. Fill out the registration form at the bottom of the page.
You’ll find the form at the bottom of this page.
2. Receive confirmation from the Bonga Surf School team.
Once you have submitted the form, you will receive a confirmation email from our Team.
3. Wait for the official call during the Waiting Period July 1st - August 10th, 2026
4. Come to Porto Ferro and get ready to live a unique experience.
The participation fee is €40 and includes:
